Elected County Commissioner in 2002, Bill Young began his term of office in January 2003. For over a decade, he served as the Mayor of South Russell Village. His leadership is widely recognized among a number of regional and countywide organizations, including Northeast Ohio Public energy Commission( NOPEC), County Planning Commission, County Board of Mental Health & Recovery Services, and the Department on Aging. Currently he serves on a number of local boards as well as on the statewide taskforce to study the County Health Insurance options.
